Page structure

  • Each page in the eDition Viewer is built in three layers. Static page is made from the PDF file and is visible everywhere (1. Layer). The central layer contains the multimedia content (Rich Media) Flash files, movies, images (2. Layer). Top layer is the control layer, which contains the other automatically generated content - links, stick it, banners … (3. Layer) The combination of static and multimedia layer generates page in eDition Viewer.
  • To avoid waiting for page to load, it is strongly recommended that SWF file does not exceed the limit of 1MB. Average static page size is about 200KB. At the connection speed of 512Kbps (64KB / s) and the page size of 2MB, user will have to wait 37 seconds to see the page!
